This is the conversion of an historic but dilapidated group of buildings with local historical significance into a revitalised retail corner comprising 9 tenancies and a basement car park on the corner Malvern Road and Williams Road, Hawksburn.

The project challenges included obtaining development approval given the historic significance of and public feeling for the buildings, and coordinating often conflicting requirements of the various consultants and approval bodies. A complex structural engineering and construction method was developed for retaining the historic façade undamaged whilst excavating and piling the basement car park.
