Vanessa Bird is a Finalist for the Inaugural Women in Design Award launched as part of Australia’s Good Design Awards.

The Women in Design Award was established in response to the significant gender imbalance within leadership roles in the design industry. This award seeks to recognise and celebrate women who have made significant contributions to the industry and hopes to encourage a more diverse and equal representation within leadership roles and in the design and creative industries in general.

Nominations were invited from members of the design and creative communities in Australia and five finalists were selected from over 60 nominations by a panel of Australian and international leaders in the design and creative industries. Congratulations to the Winner Sharon Gauci Executive Director at General Motors and the other finalists: Liane Rossier, Judith Glover and Ros Moriarty.
