Vanessa joins the Boyd Circle Representative Group, who represents the broader membership of the Boyd Circle. The Boyd Circle is the group of architects and design allies who financially, practically and intellectually support the purpose and vision of the Robin Boyd Foundation.

The Boyd Circle Representative Group is an advisory body – an ideas resource to discuss and suggest ways that the purpose and vision of the Foundation can best be achieved. It is also a practical group – working with the Foundation Staff, Board and volunteers to facilitate and assist in the delivery of activities.

Our directors Vanessa and Neil are grateful to have been invited to join the 2023 Brickworks Architour with 60 architects from Australia and US. The study tour of Madrid and Barcelona ended in Venice for the Vernissage (preview) of the 18th Biennale di Venezia. Some truely inspirational architectural works were vistied, including those by Flores + Prats, rcr arquitectes, Jean Nouvel, Herzog & de Meuron, Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich, Ensamble Studio, Carme Pinós, Antoni Gaudi, Enric Miralles, Ricardo Bofill and Carlo Scarpa, as well as tours of La Paloma and San Selmo's brick factories.

The tour enabled time out from busy practice to see inspiring work, and to connect and forge friendships with colleagues from around the country and the US. Thanks to Brickworks for the opportunity.
